You may be able to change your visa to a Tier 1 (investor) visa.
You must replace your visa before it expires.
Who can apply for this visa?
If you have the necessary conditions for this visa and you are in the UK with one of the visas belonging to the following categories, you can apply for this visa.
- Row 1 visa (general).
- Row 1 visa (entrepreneur).
- Row 1 visa (postgraduate activities).
- Each visa in category 2.
If your visa falls into another category, you must leave the UK and apply for a visa from abroad.
How long can you stay?
After changing the visa to row 1 (investor), you can stay for up to 3 years. You can also renew your visa if you are eligible.
Fee Wage
For each person, you must pay the following amount:
- pounds 1,623 to replace this visa.
- Overpayment of medical services.
- 20 19.20 for capturing and recording biometric information (fingerprints and photos).
If you want your case to be decided sooner than the standard 8-week time, you can pay an extra pounds 477 for priority services. In this case, a decision will be made within 10 working days for your request.

How long does it take
The following will usually be decided within a period of time:

- If you use the priority service within 10 working days after the visa application time.
If your visa application is complex and different and takes longer to process, you will be contacted, for example for the following reasons:
- The documents you provide need verification.
- You need to be present for the interview.
- Because of personal or criminal circumstances, for example if you have a criminal record.
If you applied for an extension before your visa expires, you can stay in the UK until your application is approved.
