Quebec Investment Program
The Quebec Investment Program is for experienced investors who have significant assets and valuable personal net assets who wish to invest in Quebec Province. To use theQuebec Investment Program, applicants must have a net worth of at least C $ 2 million and the ability to invest at least C $ 120,000 with a financial intermediary in Quebec.
Attention:
The Ministries of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusion (MIDI) have announced that the selection of programs under the Quebec Investment Program has been suspended from November 1, 2019 until July 1, 2020, so that there is enough time to review the program.
Like all Quebec immigration routes, this program allows applicants to apply for the Quebec Elective Certificate (CSQ). After receiving the CSQ, the applicant is eligible to submit a formal application for permanent residence in Canada.
Special opportunity for people who speak French
Applicants who demonstrate a certified language test that demonstrates their intermediate to advanced French language proficiency are exempt from using the program and can submit their application at any time.
Quebec Investment Plan Requirements
To be eligible for the Quebec Investment Program, applicants must meet three basic prerequisites. An investor must:
- Have a net worth of at least C $ 2 million. This amount must be legally obtained and can not receive the donated amount in less than 6 months from the date of application. This amount may also include the assets of the applicant’s spouse or regular partner.
- Have management experience in a legal, commercial or industrial commercial agricultural work or have a professional and legal business in which the number of full-time employees, with the exception of the investor himself, is at least two jobs. Or worked for an international agency or government.
- You intend to settle in Quebec and sign a C $ 1,200,000 investment agreement with a financial intermediary (broker or trusted company) authorized to participate in the Quebec Investor Program.
- Meet the minimum scores listed in the Quebec Investment Scorecard.
Investors who meet the above criteria and are interested in migrating to Quebec can apply to the CSQ Ministries of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusion (MIDI). This program only accepts paper-based applications that are sent in duplicate by mail or courier.
Users are monitored for other factors as well, including age, language skills, and educational background. The Quebec Investment Program has limits on the number of applications accepted at any given time. The program only accepts pre-defined requests from applicants at the specified time.
