Test scores– CLB equivalents
To assess how language scores are translated into Canadian immigration, the Government of Canada established a system called the Canadian Language Standard Level (CLB Level). We describe it in detail inthe Canadian Language Assessment Criteria guide.
The CLB system converts the scores from the three federal language tests (listed below) into the same equivalents so they can be compared. There are 10 CLB levels. The higher the score, the more points you get in evaluating scores and ranking systems. Refer to the language test equivalent diagrams to determine how your scores accumulate.
